Heart patients' own cells may ease crippling chest pain

NCT ID NCT03455725

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether a patient's own bone marrow cells can help people with severe chest pain that doesn't improve with standard treatments. About 343 adults with chronic heart pain will either receive the cell therapy or a sham procedure. The main goal is to see if the treatment increases how long they can exercise on a treadmill.
