Engineered immune cells target bone cancer in novel trial

NCT ID NCT05312411

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests a two-part treatment for osteosarcoma that has not responded to standard therapy or has returned. First, participants receive a modified version of their own immune cells (CAR T cells) that are designed to recognize a special marker. Then, they get infusions of a compound that attaches to tumor cells and flags them for destruction by the CAR T cells. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and feasible in up to 21 people.
