Engineered immune cells take on tough lupus cases
NCT ID NCT06585514
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests a new treatment using a patient's own immune cells, modified to attack lupus-causing cells, for people with severe lupus that hasn't responded to standard therapies. About 18 participants aged 3 to 65 will receive the therapy and be monitored for safety and disease control. The goal is to reduce lupus activity, not to cure the disease, and participants will need ongoing follow-up.
