First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a new treatment for people with a rare heart condition called light-chain cardiac amyloidosis that has not responded to standard therapy. The treatment uses specially engineered immune cells (CAR-NK cells) from donated umbilical cord blood to target and attack the disease. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and can control the disease, with fewer side effects than similar therapies.
