New hope for hard-to-treat ovarian cancer: experimental combo targets resistant tumors

NCT ID NCT07495384

First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding an experimental drug called CapsuleX to the chemo drug cisplatin can shrink tumors in people with ovarian cancer that no longer responds to platinum-based treatments. About 40 adults with recurrent ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer will receive the combination. The main goal is to see how many patients have their tumors shrink and to monitor side effects.
