Summary
This study tests whether a dietary supplement called capsinoid, found in sweet peppers and chilies, can activate brown fat in obese adolescents. Brown fat is a type of body fat that burns calories to produce heat, which may help with weight control. The study will involve 38 teens aged 11-18 who will take the supplement along with dietary guidance, and researchers will measure changes in brown fat activity using a thermal camera.
