NCT ID NCT04866004

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 39 times

Summary

This study looked at whether people with HIV who regularly use cannabis could stop for 28 days and whether that would improve their mood, pain, sleep, and HIV-related inflammation. Twenty-five participants were given money rewards to stay cannabis-free, confirmed by urine tests. The goal was to see if this approach is possible and what health changes might occur.
