Summary
This study aimed to understand how participating in cancer clinical trials affects patients' emotional well-being compared to receiving standard treatments. Researchers measured anxiety, depression, and quality of life in 125 patients with metastatic or recurrent cancers. The study compared patients in various trial phases against those receiving standard care to see if trial participation creates additional psychological stress.
