Summary
This study tested a program called GUIDE, which uses a trained navigator to help cancer patients overcome common barriers to joining clinical trials, like costs, transportation, or food insecurity. The goal was to see if this support leads to more patients enrolling in trials and staying in them, especially from diverse backgrounds. Researchers compared 100 patients who either received this special navigation help or just got standard care.
