Cancer centers test better ways to help patients kick smoking habit
NCT ID NCT06218823
Summary
This study tested two different support programs to help cancer patients quit smoking. About 50 patients recently diagnosed with cancer tried either an intensive 12-week program with medication and coaching calls, or a shorter 2-week program with nicotine patches and fewer calls. Researchers checked six months later to see which approach helped more people stay smoke-free.
