First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tested an implantable pump that delivers pain medicine directly to the spine for people with severe cancer pain. It included 8 adults aged 40-80 whose pain was not controlled by standard treatments. The goal was to see if the pump provides better pain relief and fewer side effects than a standard pump placed under the skin.
