DNA test aims to match cancer patients to right trials faster
NCT ID NCT02706652
Summary
This study screened cancer patients for specific genetic markers and characteristics before they entered other clinical trials. The goal was to save time by identifying upfront whether patients were likely eligible for certain studies based on their genetics. Researchers collected blood or cheek swab samples from 8 adult patients being considered for National Cancer Institute studies to analyze how their genes might affect drug responses.
