New navigator role aims to guide cancer patients through tough treatment

NCT ID NCT07045740

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a specialized physiotherapist, called a navigator, to a cancer care team can help patients better manage the side effects of their treatment. The navigator would check in with patients regularly to address issues like fatigue and strength loss, help set goals, and connect them to other services. Researchers will compare outcomes for patients who have this extra support against those who receive standard care alone.
