First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a 7-session, peer-led self-management program for 234 cancer survivors who recently finished treatment with curative intent. The program aims to reduce anxiety and depression by teaching symptom management skills in a group setting. Participants are from central Denmark and must have mild to moderate symptoms to join.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- peer-led self-management program
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could offer a low-cost, group-based way to help cancer survivors manage anxiety and depression after treatment.
- What could go wrong
- This is a relatively small, single-region trial with no blinding, so results may not apply broadly. The program is behavioral, not a drug, so effects may be modest.
