Summary

This study looked at whether taking statins (cholesterol-lowering drugs) can reduce hearing loss caused by platinum-based chemotherapy in people with solid tumors. 56 adults who were about to start chemotherapy took part. The goal was to see if statins could protect their ears from damage, a common side effect of these cancer treatments.
