Could thousands of breast cancer patients avoid unnecessary radiation?

NCT ID NCT07179744

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study is for women with a certain type of breast cancer that is hormone-sensitive and has spread to 1-3 lymph nodes. Researchers want to see if it is safe to skip radiation therapy to the lymph nodes for those with a low-risk genetic test result. The study will follow 635 participants over time to track if the cancer comes back. If successful, it could spare many women from unnecessary side effects.
