First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether eating 5-6 prunes every day for 18 months can prevent the rapid bone loss that often happens during menopause. Researchers will measure bone density, inflammation, and gut health in 124 women aged 44-55. If successful, this simple dietary change could help delay or avoid osteoporosis.
