First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study looks at whether common weight-loss medications like semaglutide and tirzepatide can slow or reverse genetic aging in adults with obesity. Researchers will measure changes in biological age using a special DNA test over 24 weeks. The goal is to see if these drugs do more than help with weight—they might also help slow aging at the cellular level.
