First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether shining a special light on the head (transcranial photobiomodulation) can temporarily improve balance and thinking in people with ataxia, a condition that affects coordination. Twenty adults aged 18-70 with ataxia will receive either real or placebo light therapy in random order. The goal is to see if this safe, non-invasive approach can help with everyday tasks.
