Could a deep dental cleaning save your memory?
NCT ID NCT03755362
Summary
This study tested whether intensive treatment for gum disease could help slow memory loss and prevent dementia in older adults. It focused on people aged 65+ who already had mild memory problems and a narrowing of their neck arteries. Researchers compared a deep, intensive dental cleaning to standard care to see if reducing gum inflammation could benefit brain health.
