Labelled 'Abnormal' but born healthy? new study tests embryo genetic test accuracy

NCT ID NCT04109846

First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 20, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at embryos that were found to have extra or missing chromosomes (aneuploidy) or a mix of normal and abnormal cells (mosaicism) during genetic testing. Researchers want to see how often these embryos lead to a healthy baby and whether the pregnancy or child has any extra health risks in the first five years. About 300 participants who have no other usable embryos will be followed.
