Camp adventure aims to boost spirits of kids battling cancer

Summary

This study is looking at whether a special week-long camping experience can improve the quality of life and self-esteem of children with cancer. Researchers will observe and interview kids aged 7-17 who are in treatment or recently finished, as well as young adult counselors, before, during, and after camp. The goal is to see if participating in normal, fun activities with medical support provides lasting psychological benefits.
