New obesity drug versions put to the test in Early-Stage trial
NCT ID NCT07597018
First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early-stage study tests two versions of the medicine cagrilintide in 234 adults with overweight or obesity (BMI 27-35). Participants receive either version D or version B by chance, and researchers compare how the drug behaves in the body over about 6 months. The goal is to see if the versions work similarly, not to treat the condition directly.
