Summary
This study looked at whether caffeine gum or nicotine gum changes balance in healthy, trained adults. Twenty athletes completed balance tests after taking each substance, a placebo, or nothing. The results showed no significant differences in balance performance between any of the conditions. The study suggests these stimulants don't noticeably affect postural stability in this group.
