Cancer weight loss study also tracks caregiver stress

NCT ID NCT04090619

First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at how often cancer patients in a supportive care clinic experience cachexia (unintentional weight loss and loss of appetite) and the emotional toll it takes on both patients and their primary caregivers. Researchers will track weight changes and use questionnaires to measure anxiety, depression, and appetite. The goal is to better understand these issues so future support can be improved.
