Summary
This study tested a new antibody drug (C5 monoclonal antibody) in 16 people with anti-GBM disease, a severe autoimmune condition that often leads to kidney failure. The goal was to see if the drug could improve kidney outcomes and reduce the need for dialysis or transplant. The treatment targets part of the immune system (complement) thought to drive the disease.
