Better C-Section pain relief? study tests two spinal additives

NCT ID NCT06418308

Summary

This study aims to see if adding dexmedetomidine to spinal anesthesia works as well as adding epinephrine for pain control during cesarean sections. Researchers will enroll 62 pregnant adults to compare how long the pain relief lasts, how quickly it starts, and the side effects of each additive. The goal is to find the best option for managing pain during and after this common surgery.
