Summary
This study follows 100 hospitalized adults with Clostridioides difficile infection to track how quickly the bacteria clears from the gut during and after standard antibiotic treatment. Researchers will also examine gut bacteria and immune responses to understand why infections return in up to 25% of patients. The goal is to find better ways to prevent repeat infections and improve quality of life.
