First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether a new sublingual medication (BXCL501) is safe and shows promise for people who drink heavily and also have PTSD. Ten adults aged 21–65 will take the drug and be monitored for changes in anxiety, PTSD symptoms, and alcohol use over 28 days. The goal is to see if this approach is worth testing in larger trials.
