First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to break kidney stones using bursts of low-power ultrasound instead of strong shock waves. About 40 adults already scheduled for stone removal surgery will receive this treatment. Doctors will check how well it breaks stones into tiny pieces and whether it causes less bleeding than standard methods.
