New injection aims to strengthen weakened bones in rare disorder

Summary

This study tested whether a drug called burosumab could safely raise low phosphate levels in people with fibrous dysplasia, a condition that weakens bones. Twelve participants aged 1 and older received injections of the drug at home once or twice a month for 48 weeks. Researchers checked if the treatment improved phosphate levels, bone health, pain, and mobility.
