First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study aims to better understand burning mouth syndrome (BMS) by having participants use a smartphone app to report their symptoms several times a day for 12 weeks. Researchers will also collect saliva samples to look for biological markers linked to the condition. The goal is to capture pain fluctuations as they happen, rather than relying on memory. Ten adults diagnosed with BMS for at least three months will take part.
