First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests a procedure that uses a thin tube (bronchoscope) to clean mucus plugs from the lungs and spray an antifungal medicine (amphotericin B) directly into the airways. It aims to see if this approach is safe and effective for people with allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA), a lung condition caused by an allergic reaction to fungus. The study will enroll 44 participants and measure improvements in chest scans, blood tests, and symptoms after 4 months of treatment.
