New test could spot lyme disease in kids faster and more accurately

Summary

This study looks for a better way to diagnose Lyme disease in children early on. Current tests can miss the infection or give false positives. Researchers will test a new method that measures specific immune cells in the blood. Up to 502 children with suspected Lyme disease will take part, and their immune responses will be tracked over six months.
