Four therapy sessions in the ER aim to reduce suicidal crises
NCT ID NCT06675461
Summary
This study is testing whether a brief, 4-session psychological treatment can help people with borderline personality disorder (BPD) who come to the emergency room feeling suicidal or harming themselves. The goal is to see if this short therapy can reduce future emergency visits and improve symptoms, daily functioning, and quality of life. The treatment is being compared to the usual care patients receive in the emergency department.
