Single therapy session aims to cut suicide risk in adults

Summary

This study tests whether a single intensive therapy session called Brief Skills for Safer Living can reduce suicidal thoughts in adults. 150 participants across Canada will be randomly assigned to receive the therapy right away or after a 3-month wait. The goal is to see if this brief approach lowers suicidal thinking, depression, and anxiety, and improves social connection and daily functioning.
