Summary
This study tests whether a short form of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) can help prevent suicide in Brazilian adults who have recently attempted suicide or had serious suicidal thoughts. About 150 participants will receive either 12 weekly sessions of CBT or standard supportive therapy. Researchers will track suicide attempts, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts for up to 6 months after treatment ends.
