Summary
This study tested whether a short, four-session therapy program delivered by medical assistants could help people who worry excessively about their health. 68 adults with health anxiety from three primary care clinics took part. The therapy focused on changing unhelpful thoughts and facing fears. Results showed it was feasible and acceptable, and it helped reduce health anxiety compared to usual care.
