Breathe through the pain? study tests if calm breathing can replace numbing shots
NCT ID NCT07172984
Summary
This study is testing if a simple breathing exercise can manage pain as effectively as a standard numbing shot during joint injections for rheumatology patients. Researchers will compare pain levels in one group receiving a local anesthetic against another group using guided breathing techniques instead. The goal is to see if this non-drug approach provides similar pain relief and reduces anxiety during the procedure.
