New breathing technique aims to help frail lung transplant patients recover faster
NCT ID NCT07384572
Summary
This study is testing a new approach to help very underweight patients recover after a lung transplant. The goal is to see if keeping patients breathing on their own as much as possible during and after surgery, combined with special nutrition and exercise programs, leads to better recovery. Researchers will measure how many patients need breathing machines after surgery, how long they stay in the hospital, and their survival rates.
