This study looks at whether keeping patients breathing on their own during lung transplant surgery can help them recover faster and survive better. It involves 40 adults with end-stage lung disease who need a rescue transplant. Researchers will track how many need a breathing tube after surgery, how long they stay in the hospital, and survival rates up to 30 days.
