NCT ID NCT07427875
First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested if guided breathing exercises (4-7-8 and diaphragmatic breathing) could help dialysis patients feel less pain and anxiety during the needle insertion for their treatment. 90 patients were split into three groups: two groups learned different breathing techniques, and one group received usual care. The goal was to see if these simple, drug-free methods could improve comfort during a routine but often painful procedure.
