First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests two breathing exercises—segmental breathing and active cycle breathing—against standard care in 99 adults recovering from open heart surgery. The goal is to see which technique better reduces shortness of breath and improves oxygen levels, heart rate, and blood pressure. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the three groups and monitored for a short time after surgery.
