Simple breathing device tested to speed heart surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT05192785
Summary
This study tested whether using a simple breathing exercise device, called an incentive spirometer, helps patients recover after heart bypass surgery. Researchers compared patients who used the device along with standard breathing exercises to those who only did the standard exercises. They measured oxygen levels in the blood and vital signs like heart rate and blood pressure to see if the extra tool made a difference.
