Scientists track Baby's first gut bugs and immune health

NCT ID NCT06708559

Summary

This study aims to understand how a baby's immune system develops and how it relates to the bacteria in their gut. Researchers will follow about 60 healthy, exclusively breastfed Filipino infants from birth until they are 12 months old, with an option to continue for another 2 years. They will collect blood and stool samples to measure immune markers and analyze gut bacteria, without giving any treatment.
