New MRI scanner aims to sharpen breast tumor measurements

NCT ID NCT07492043

First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a new type of MRI scanner, called Field-Cycling Imaging (FCI), to see if it can more accurately measure the size of breast tumors in people with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). About 12 participants will have both a standard MRI and an FCI scan before their surgery. The goal is to compare the FCI measurements with the actual tumor size found after surgery.
