First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a low-powered microwave imaging system on 50 healthy women aged 18-74 to see if it could measure electrical properties of breast tissue. The goal was to find out if these properties relate to breast density seen on mammograms. Each participant had both breasts scanned six times. The results could help improve breast health monitoring without radiation.
