First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at how breast milk may affect the spread of certain viruses, including HTLV-1, Zika, yellow fever, dengue, and tick-borne encephalitis. Researchers will mix milk samples with these viruses in a lab to see if the milk helps or hinders infection. The goal is to understand whether breast milk composition can influence virus transmission to infants. The study involves 75 healthy breastfeeding women in France.
