Two-Week test could spare breast cancer patients from chemotherapy
NCT ID NCT07410559
Summary
This study is testing a personalized approach to treat a common type of breast cancer before surgery. Patients first get a two-week course of two targeted drugs. If a tumor marker (Ki67) drops low enough, they may continue with these drugs instead of standard chemotherapy. The goal is to see if this approach controls the cancer as well as or better than chemo, with potentially fewer side effects.
