First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a combination of two hormones (bazedoxifene and conjugated estrogens) can reduce breast cancer risk in women going through menopause who also have hot flashes. About 120 women at higher risk for breast cancer will either receive the treatment for 6 months or be placed on a waiting list. Researchers will check changes in breast density and cell growth, which are linked to cancer risk.
